Clients frequently ask me how long the “lake season” is. I tell them 12 months. We love all four seasons at the lake, with the doors wide open in spring and fall, a fire in the fire pit in winter, and of course fun at the dock in the summer. But what they are really asking, is “when can you get in the lake?”. I would typically answer April to October, giving us 7 good months of swimming, boating and water sports. The water may be a little cool in April, and the air temperatures a little cool in October, but I did have a nice ski run with no wet suit on Halloween one year. Last weekend’s warm temperatures extended the “lake season” by a couple of weeks for Roan and Alice Haynie, the children of clients, Keith and Lisa. Is this the season you will find your spot on the lake?
