The number of homes sold was up 32% over last quarter and total sales volume for homes was up 25%. The average sales price for homes was $357,000, down slightly from last quarter but up from $319,000 in the second quarter of 2016. 33 lake lots were sold which is more than twice the number of lots sold last quarter. The average sales price was up slightly to $142,000. The number of active properties for sale was up in second quarter which is typical for this time of year with sellers trying to time listing with active buyers. The absorption rate measures the length of time it would take to sell the available inventory at the existing rate of sales and that measure was reduced from 12 months to 10 months, bringing us closer to a balanced market.
