For those of you that are new to Lake Hartwell, you  may be wondering who has been painting  the trees around the lake.  The lake and surrounding shoreline is owned and managed by the US  Army Corps of Engineers.  The Corps of Engineers uses orange paint to mark the trees near the line that separates their property from the adjacent private property.  This line is commonly known as the  “corps line”.   There are four different markings which each have their own meaning.   Click here  to learn how to read the markings or click the photo for a link to a short video.  If you are looking for a property, skip all the research.  Give us a call, and we will take care of everything for you.
