We have owned our house at Lake Hartwell since 1998.   At that time, we installed a railroad tie retaining wall between the house and the lake.  It served the purpose well for 16 years, but has now reached the end of its useful life.    I had to look hard to find a photo with the original wall in it.  It wasn’t beautiful even when it was new, so I usually tried to shoot around it.  Even in the above photo, I tried to hide it with the hammock in the foreground.  We started the process this week of replacing it, and I am excited about the potential for improvement.  Stay tuned for the results and be sure to set aside some time to let us help you find your spot on the lake
