Caroline and I were in the Westminster area on Saturday and decided to stop by The Spotted Pig for some barbecue.  The Spotted Pig is on Highway 11 a few miles north of I85 near the turn off to Chickasaw Point.  The outside doesn’t look like much, but the interior is nicer than you might expect for a local joint.  A large stone fireplace serves as the center piece for the large dining area and there is a handy wash basin for sticky fingers after your meal.  Caroline had pulled pork with stew and fried okra, and I had the rib basket with stew and slaw.  I thought the ribs were particularly good, especially with the hot barbecue sauce.  Stop in when you are in the area and make sure to save time to let us help you find your spot on the lake.
