We went with some friends to 83 Degrees West in Lavonia last week for the first time.   The restaurant is a New Orleans style seafood grill with all the traditional favorites including gumbo, jambalaya, shrimp and grits and crawfish Po boys.  We sampled several items, and everything was tasty.  Beer and wine are available, and prices are very reasonable.  There is ample indoor seating and a large patio that frequently has live music.  Tammy is one of the proprietors and is also the main chef.  She stopped by our table to welcome us to the restaurant.  The restaurant is near the Rock Springs boat ramp.  There is no private dock, but if you know where you  are going you can beach your boat.   The restaurant is open for dinner Thursday through Saturday.  Click here to see the menu and directions or just plug 83 degrees west, 34 degrees north into your GPS.
